Montes del Plata hires Hospital Evangélico to provide medical assistance for its workers
Montes del Plata granted the medical services supplier bid to Hospital Evangélico to provide medical assistance to workers participating in the construction of its pulp mill in Conchillas.
The health care company was ed among five applicants. This entails that Hospital Evangélico will be responsible for routine medical assistance at the construction site and at the living quarters, emergency and urgency assistance for workers, as well as pre-hospital care and first aid assistance in case needed.
Montes del Plata will supply the health care company with the necessary facilities to carry out their operations at the construction site and the living quarters, by providing equipment, furniture and the necessary instruments and tools for their services.
Two ambulances, a common one and a specialized one, will be available at the site for necessary transportation.
The Hospital Evangélico will provide 20 people especially for this contract. Personnel includes physicians, nurses, assistants, drivers and maintenance personnel. The structure will be directed by a physician, a project manager and a general chief.
In terms of infrastructure, the institution`s network within the department of Colonia and the hospital in Montevideo will be part of the service`s support scheme.
Hospital Evangélico`s coverage extends to the Punta Pereira site where the mill is being built as well as Montes del Plata`s sites in Conchillas, Carmelo and the city of Colonia del Sacramento. During the 24-month construction period, the service will provide coverage to all workers involved in the project .
